Wrexham have confirmed the transfer of another player over the weekend.

Since the 2024/25 season came to a close, Wrexham have sanctioned exits for a number of players.

Steven Fletcher was not offered a new contract despite his desire to remain in Wales beyond this summer.

Paul Mullin has been loaned to Wigan Athletic, featuring for the League One side heavily in pre-season since his move.

In total, 11 senior players have already been moved on this summer by the Championship club.

Wrexham confirm Luke Bolton exit

Another player has now joined that list in the form of right-back Luke Bolton.

Bolton was linked with Mansfield Town on Friday, and a deal has now been confirmed by Wrexham.

The Hollywood-backed club released a statement confirming the permanent transfer.

They wrote: “Wrexham AFC can confirm that Luke Bolton has signed for Mansfield Town on a permanent deal, pending international clearance and registrations.

“The wing-back signed for the Club from Salford City in January 2024, making 17 league appearances as Phil Parkinson’s side gained promotion from Sky Bet League Two during the 2023/24 season.

“Bolton then went on to make another three appearances in cup competitions across the 2024/25 campaign.

“All at the Football Club would like to thank Luke for his contributions on and off the pitch during his time with Wrexham.”

Bolton moved to Wrexham for an undisclosed fee in February 2024 from Salford City.

He made 17 appearances in the second half of the 2023/24 campaign as the club won promotion from League Two.

2024/25 was less fruitful for the defender, who suffered from injury woes.

Bolton played three matches for the Red Dragons across 2024/25.
